What is Ear Coning?

Service Fee ~ $50.00 for one session, up to 3 cones

Ear coning, also called ear candling or thermal-auricular therapy, is an alternative medicine practice used to improve general health and well-being.

Ear coning is a safe, simple remedy for gently removing excess wax, toxins and unwanted critters from  inside the eustachian tubes. Long, tapered cones are inserted into the ears and lit. This procedure should ONLY be done by an experienced, Certified Holistic Health Practitioner or Medical Doctor.  NEVER do this alone.

Our Ear Candles are handcrafted in the USA and produced from 100% Pure Natural Beeswax, Unbleached Organic Materials & Pure Essential Oils. It is suggested you receive two sessions a week apart for optimal results.

The waxy, tacky smoke generated by the beeswax cones spirals down into the eustachian tube and then returns the toxins which adhere back to the cone.  The entire process is relaxing and noninvasive.

What you can expect during ear candling is that the nice warm smoke goes down into the ear canal and encompasses the mold, bacteria and other little unwanted critters or flora and smothers it to death.

It is similar to burning the bedding and personal belonging after they have been exposed to the plague.

If there is water or moisture in the ear canal it causes the ash forming in the candle to get heavy and accumulate in the ear candle. It may even have an odor.

If you see a big, sticky chunk of ear wax it is not your personal ear wax but rather the combination of these toxins.  The ear canal may appear dry and chalky which is normal for a nice dry unshowered or unsaturated ear canal.

What is the History of Ear Coning?

The art of ear coning dates back for centuries, to the ancient Egyptian, Chinese, Tibetan, Aztec, Mayan and American Indian cultures. Cherokee, Mexican Indian and European healers interested in reviving the lost traditions still practice coning. German medical students are taught coning as a part of their medical practice. It is said that the Amish use ear cones as well. In working with clients over the past years, I’ve heard interesting stories about ear cleaning which have included the Turkish bringing coning to the middle east, and beautiful girls cleaning ears in Thai barbershops. The culture of India gives its own special brand of ear care with men who publicly walk the streets offering to clean your ears with long instruments carried in their hats which they will whip out and use to clean your ears for a penny (they produce some amazing results). I have also heard that the Egyptians had a form of coning and worked with frequency medicine.   Ear cleaning has been practiced for at least five thousand years by many cultures and is considered as necessary a part of personal hygiene as is tooth and gum brushing.

Therapeutic Benefits of Ear Candling

˜ rejuvenation with improved circulation similar to massage therapy
˜ softening of ear wax
˜ sharper, improved hearing
˜ detoxification of sinuses ~pressure reduction
˜ detox of lymphatic system
˜ drying of ear drum area
˜ looses tight shoulders and neck muscles
˜ improves balance
˜ ease ringing in ears
˜ ease headaches

The eustachian tube runs from the lymphatic system up the side of the neck and into the ear canal. When this tube is backed up, many of the problems listed above occur. The tube is packed with toxins that the lymphatic system was unable to eliminate. Most people have never had these tubes cleared. What would your mouth be like it you had never brushed your teeth? How do you know when the tube is cleared out? You feel smoke/heat by the clavicle bone. Once that is accomplished (normally 1 to 3 treatments of three pairs per treatment) the real work begins which is that of cleaning the blood (normally about 10 – six cone sessions).

How long does an ear candling session take?
As a Certified Ear Candler, we perform each procedure using 2 ear candles per ear, the session may last an hour or more. Each candle can take 8 to 12 minutes to burn down to 4″ in length, where it is then removed and extinguished. A facial massage and ear oil application should be included to enhance and promote the procedure.

How many candles can be used per session?
For adults, 1 to 4 ear candles per ear are recommended for a single session. We recommend doing two separate sessions one week apart for the optimum results.

How often can a person be candled?
Everyone is different, and so are their ears. Some people ear candle weekly, some monthly, others ear candle yearly and many candle with the change of each season. It is up to the individual person and the amount of wax and toxins that builds up in the ear, that normally determines how often the process should be done.

Coning works directly on the chakra system to clear and strengthen the auric bodies. It is said to dislodge discarnate entities and negativity. It’s like smudging your insides. The ear contains nerve endings and acupuncture points to every other area of the body, mind and emotions. The nerve endings are connected by streams of the subtle energy flow which carry our life force energy. If hearing is impaired or blocked, we are disconnected from that energy. Ear coning acts as a catalyst to clear out debris accumulated on nerve endings. This allows for clear vibrational flow to the corresponding area of the mind, body and spirit. This clears the way for other methods of healing. Always beneficial prior to a colonic or other natural cleansing treatment.

The Lymphatic Massage:  One of the major goals of Ear Candling is to relieve pressure related to any of the structures involved with hearing or within the surrounding structures.  One approach that helps to improve or decrease the these symptoms is the use of a light pressure massage of the head, the forehead, the cheek, the mastoid area by the rear of the ear, and the area in front of the ear.

Massage is Used to Move Lymph System
This ancient remedy for cleansing and invigorating the ear has been around for centuries. Today we are seeing people making different choices about how they care for their own bodies. More and more people are turning to “alternative health care” and taking control of their health naturally.  When several modalities are combined, such as, colonics with ear candling, ionic footbaths, steam therapies, chiropractic care and acupuncture — the results are phenomenal!  We look forward to helping you on your journey of maintenance or better health as you explore these avenues.  Ear Coning procedure should be done by a Certified Ear Candler, which our facility holds certification in.

At what age can ear candling be administered?
We do not recommend this process for children under the age of 12. Children under 12 may not remain still while the procedure is being performed. The procedure involves fire, therefore, extreme caution should be taken should you choose to ear candle a small child. Ear candling is not harmful to children, but fire is.

Ear Candling is a therapy for the ENTIRE family!
